GETTING MY HOUSE IN ORDER...

Long-time readers of this blog may remember that I've often likened my collectibles' room (what some might call a "man-cave") to the SANCTUM SANCTORUM of Doctor Strange.
In fact, that IS what I call my retreat, my reliquary, my holy of holies... MY Sanctum Sanctorum.

And those self-same long-time readers may recall when I lamented that my Sanctum was in a dilapidated, derelict state (much like Dr. Strange's Sanctum at the time) - [HERE] .

In fact, THAT simile' begat an epic and introspective look into the many times that the Sanctum Sanctorum of Doctor Strange was destroyed or in any major way defiled over it's long published history (more times than you'd think). I called it the "Housing Crisis : Sanctus Interruptus" series, and you can read that multi-part essay by following the link above (which, in turn, when completed, leads to a link for the next installment, and then the next, etc...).

However, I've long been working on rectifying my Sanctum, and am proud to say that it is completely re-arranged (not an easy feat, as my Sanctum also has angled, inclined walls, like the upper floor of Doctor Strange's home at 177A Bleecker Street.

I'll be showcasing many new photos and write-ups of the treasures to be found within (as I sort of did with a new photo in this recent post [HERE]), as well as further entries in to the "Housing Crisis" series, since my last update.

HOWEVER, as a show of good faith, I present to you, THIS, newly "completed" (well, the exterior is done, but I still have the interior to build)...

3D Model of the SANCTUM SANCTORUM at 177A Bleecker Street.

As I progress further with the interior of this model - as well as my own personal Sanctum, I'll post updates.

In the meanwhile, don't be a STRANGE-R to the Sanctum Sanctorum Comix blog, either HERE [HERE] or on the TWITTERS - [HERE]- or, on the NEW "Doctor StrangeCast" Podcast - [HERE].

www.DoctorStrangeCast.com podcast is ONLINE

As promised, the Doctor Strange podcast that I have co-founded in now online:

PTOR, D and HOWARD:
your hosts of
Doctor StrangeCast

Diedra ("Deee"), Howard Hallis, and myself share various thoughts and experiences with, not only Doctor Strange, but comics and pop-culture in general,
(But mostly Doctor Strange)
with my being on the East Coast and Howard and Diedra on the West.

There are 5 mini episodes online now:

  1. - A "Mission Statement" of sorts.
  2. - My being "interviewed" and answering the guest "questionnaire".
  3. - Deidra answering the questionnaire
  4. - Howard's turn to do so.
  5. - Our predictions for the post-credits trailers for director Scott Derrickson's "Doctor Strange" film.

These are just the first few offerings, introductory teasers, if you will.
We've recorded others and shall record more still, and will upload them in time.

Now, Lest you walk into the gathering, unacquainted with your hosts, allow me to make the introductions:

Diedra ("Deee") is a noted Cosplayer and Dr. Strange fan. Her insights are valuable as not only a knowledgable and insightful Doctor Strange fan, but also can present us with a female perspective as well as a newer fan's viewpoint (although, she is wise in the ways of Strange far beyond her years).

Howard Hallis - owner of one of the World's Largest Doctor Strange collections, and Dr. Strange uber-fan, is the artist of the renowned "Picture of Everything" and is also a former associate of the late Dr. Timothy Leary.

PTOR - A renowned expert on Doctor Strange, having been a Dr. Strange uber-fan for nearly 40Years, I am also an owner of one of, and most likely THE World's Largest Doctor Strange Collections, as well as a writer/artist (having worked briefly in comics, as well as other media).

So come... join us.

We're Ptor, Howard and Dee...
and together we have a PHD in Doctor Strange.

Welcome to the Strangecast... [HERE]

MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY HOLIDAYS -2013-
A Not-So Nativity Scene

I just want to take this time to wish everyone all the Happiness of this
Holiday Season!

And to help celebrate your
VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS,
HAPPY HANUKKAH,
KOOL KWANZAA,
WILD WINTER SOLSTICE,
and A FESTIVUS FOR THE REST-OF-US...

...I present to you this scene that we are ALL glad is not
MARVEL canon.

(click to make YULE-SIZED)

SILVER SURFER as the HERALD ANGEL
SCARLET WITCH as MARY, SPIDER-MAN refusing to play any part of it, let alone the role of JOSEPH,
and HOWARD the DUCK as... oh, I can't even type that out.

Oh, I KNOW... really. I know.
But you have to believe me when I say that THIS was meant in ALL good fun, with no blasphemous intent. Spidey, of course, being the moral compass (sorta) - to keep us out of it.

Still, I did have OTHER ideas for this year's action figure fumetti card. (Some were even worse!)

Others included DOCTOR STRANGE letting LUKE CAGE interview prospective casting calls for the roles of MARY in the Sanctum (with all my super-women action figures, ranging from MAGIK, ZATANNA, SPIDER-WOMAN, MOONDRAGON, DAGGER, SNOWBIRD, PHOENIX, BLINK, MOONSTONE and MORE, including... oh yeah... SATANA, all auditioning).
The jokes were to have been CLEA trying to use her relationship with STRANGE to garner the role, MOONDRAGON demanding it since she was almost the Celestial Madonna and LUKE just looking at SATANA and saying "No... NO WAY!"

Perhaps a panel of MAN-THING being shot down for the role, as LUKE tells him flat out: "Dude... it's in your NAME! "MAN"-Thing!" To which the silent Man-Thing thinks, "But...LOOK at me! I AM a virgin."

Also a single shot of LUKE standing next to DOCTOR STRANGE, looking at all the beautiful, sexy, super-women and exclaiming "SWEET CHRISTMAS!" (as he used to do).

These next jokes might actually get used some other time as they ARE pretty cool...

The ILLUMINATI all arguing over who should be the "3 Wise Men" (with BLACK BOLT, BLACK PANTHER and NAMOR insisting it should be the "3 KINGS")...
Originally, it was to be DR. STRANGE, PHANTOM STRANGER & either JOHN CONSTANTINE or SARUMAN (or GANDALF) as the "3 Wise Men", but I couldn't decide on which.

...and/or the ASTRAL FORM of DOCTOR STRANGE, DEADMAN and the Marvel villain, GHOST, all portraying the "Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present & Future" to a SCROOGE figure (maybe HOWARD the DUCK, so as to riff on the Scrooge MacDuck thing), with the transparent variant of the MUPPET's "UNCLE DEADLY" as JACOB MARLEY.

Now... technically the Scarlet Witch DID give "virgin birth" to twins (you think theVision can reproduce?)... so... oh, whatever.

SO you see, the wheels WERE turning, and I had all the figures posed and ready to go, but just lacked the time to get it all together. So, I went with my first concept - for better or ill - and hope that you find it at least moderately amusing (and not overly offensive).

Of course, this was all inspired by my similar action-figure Christmas fumetti from a couple of years back [HERE].

So... once again,
Let's all sing a chorus of "O Man-Thing Tree"...
"O Manny-Thing, O Manny-Thing, Thy leaves are always burning..."
...EVERYBODY!

Peace on Earth, Good Will to Men-Things.

WAUGH, indeed!

IDOL PURSUITS: SPECIAL EDITION:
The DOCTOR STRANGE BOARD GAME
(That YOU can now PRINT out and PLAY!)

---

Introductory page to:
DOCTOR STRANGE’s
HAUNTED PATHWAYS
The Game of Mystic Mindrot

---

“WHAT-the-wha…? A DOCTOR STRANGE BOARD GAME”, I hear the collective crowd exclaim, incredulously.

Yes! And, as a point of fact, a DOCTOR STRANGE BOARD GAME that was OFFICIALLY produced by MARVEL COMICS!

“Who-in-the-WHAT-now?!”, You all stammered, as one….

Yes! I am quite serious. There is a DOCTOR STRANGE BOARD GAME.

“WHY didn’t I ever hear of such a thing? HOW is such a thing possible? WHEN did this miraculous event occur?”, I heard you say, while completing the rest of the ‘5 “W’s” of proper questioning’.

I know what you’re thinking. “Whoever green-lit this project would have to be… CRAZY!

And y’know what…? You’d be 100% correct!

Printed in the pages of CRAZY # 88 (a “SUPER SPECIAL” issue) by Marvel Comics (magazine division) back in July 1982, there was presented all the makings of an honest-to-goodness paper-craft DOCTOR STRANGE BOARD GAME!

My hand-colored figures and a close-up of my home-made box (from the early 1980's) for
DOCTOR STRANGE’s
HAUNTED PATHWAYS
The Game of Mystic Mindrot
Written by Steve Skeates.
Art by Steve Mellor

Complete with: spinner, multiple decks of cards, the game-board itself (because it can’t really be a board game if there isn’t a game board), rules, game pieces, and, of course, for the very reason that this is an “IDOL PURSUITS” post… FIGURE STANDEES!

But not just any old paper figures of ordinary people. Oh no! These are papercraft figures of:
 DOCTOR STRANGE
CLEA
DORMAMMU
&
BARON MORDO
!!!
(AND the game pointer is the
G’URANTHIC GUARDIAN!!!)

-
(NOTE: For MORE info on the "IDOL PURSUITS" series of posts, and a review of every entry thus far, see the post just prior to this one  [HERE].)
-

And so I present to you, in all its glory…
DOCTOR STRANGE’s
HAUNTED PATHWAYS:
The Game of Mystic Mindrot

---

For your entertainment pleasure, I’ve scanned in the entire game pages (game board, pieces, instructions, etc) and digitally cleaned it all up to high-quality standards (available for download below).

You can either save the files and color them digitally (if you have the knack [and art software]) –or- print these out and color them in the more traditional manner (crayons, colored pencil, magic marker… heck, turn them into oil paintings, Picasso).

I still have my original set, which was from when this book was only a scant few months old. There were no fancy computers then, ya young whippersnappers, so we colored things with markers of magic, and THAT WAS THE WAY WE LIKED IT! Uh… sorry. I have the sudden urge to chase kids offa my lawn.

Now where was I?
Oh yes… My old set is shown here (at the top of this post) - for authenticity's sake - in a makeshift box and all hand-colored and pasted together. I have the urge to redo it all digitally now… and since I made these scans, I think I will!

Oh, you want to know what the game is about?
Well, it’s about obtaining perfect enlightenment as a Master of the Mystic Arts - or – falling into the grip of MADNESS and being locked away in an asylum!
See? FUN!

Here, let me allow Doctor Strange himself to explain it all in the accompanying comic strip (before and after the assorted game pieces).

The ONLY part of assembling your very own version that MAY be even the slightest bit difficult is to align the FRONT and BACK of the playing cards (POWER CARDS, ASTRAL PLAYIN' CARDS, DISABILITY CARDS & TREATMENT CARDS). Your best bet is to print them out, cut out the BLOCK of cards (ignoring all the rest of the stuff on the page), and then make sure the edges line up. If the edges line up then the cards should line up, front-to-back (-or- hold them up to a light-source - on a window, or a lightbox, to see if they match up). Then use a glue stick or spray glue and reset together back-to-back. Then, cut them out on the dotted lines, and you'll have your cards!
If you're technically adept and want to align them on your computer and print out double-sided, well... aren't YOU fancy?!
And speaking of fancy... I'd highly recommend bringing the GAME BOARD file to your local copy shoppe to have them print it out on nice glossy stock (or even mount it onto some board)!

Anyway, the game is oodles of fun (if frustrating torture is your idea of a good time). I didn’t have anyone with whom to play this game when it first came out, so I pretty much had to play with myself (uh, wait…). It wasn’t until many years afterwards that I tested the love of my then-girlfriend by having her play with me (now WAIT a minute… I mean THE GAME! Perverts). She wasn’t all that excited by the game, but she seemed to still like ME enough to marry me a few years later. As I recall, I won the game and I won her heart.
So there ya have it! Play this game and find true love – guaranteed! (Note: Guarantee of love is not binding or in any way meant as a guarantee. Let’s face it, you’re about to slap together a home-made board game. No one is gonna find that sexy. Not even nerd-sexy. Good luck.)

So what’cha waiting for?

Begin YOUR exciting quest for ENLIGHTENMENT (or INSANITY)... NOW!

ENJOY!

A FINAL FLING 'fore FALL
-and-
A Glimpse Within My Sanctum

Well, it seems with September a mere day away, I've missed my opportunity to post SUMMERTIME themed blog entries ("Summer" movies and music featuring Doctor Strange and others, but don't worry, I'll get them on here soon enough), so before August ends, I'll "TOSS" (you'll get that joke in a moment) a blog post here about one item in my DOCTOR STRANGE collection (and tease about a bunch of others). The summer item in question?

...a DOCTOR STRANGE FRISBEE!
(See? Now the "toss" joke makes sense.)

I should note that this is NOT an official item (so don't go frantic trying to track one down on eBay. You won't find one). This is a custom made product by good friend, and fellow Doctor Strange fan, Howard Hallis!

I am often quite impressed with the extra mile that Howard will go to make his special items have an authentic flair. This time, he gathered art from other similar Marvel product from the 1960's, and photoshopped together a nice hang tag. Purchasing a frisbee flying disc, Howard pasted his customized decal over the wrap-around hangtag and also made a Dr. Strange decal to affix to the center of the disc, thus creating an awesome homage faux item.

Howard sent this to me a few years back, and while not an authentic product, it has - like all other items he has sent to me - always been kept in a highly visible place of honor within my "Sanctum Sanctorum" (aka: man-cave, hobby-haven, collectibles cavern, rumpus-room, etc...).

The reason I mention this (and why the frisbee was in my hand today) is that I've had some time to work on re-setting up that room (after years of being unable to do so) and obtained a new pegboard/slotwall segment upon which to hang the frisbee and other items, clearing room from a slotwall / display unit there.

As a tiny teaser of some things to come, here is a glimpse into that area of my Sanctum Sanctorum, just inside (and to the left of) the door, and at a few of the slotwall/pegboard items therein (there is another section of slatwall on the opposite side of the giant display unit shown on the right of the pic. But that's a part of the eventual "tour" post that will hopefully be made before long).

An assortment of goodies.
On the pegboard on the left:
Custom frisbee, complete set of 6 different "Marvel Magic" tricks, Marvel guitar picks,
Marvel/Maisto vehicles; Defenders coupe (3 different packs), Defenders Airplane, Defenders Motorcycle, and Doctor Strange mega-truck,
Ultimate Spider-Man fighter pods figures (3 different sized sets - all with Dr. Strange).

On the white slotwall unit on the right:
Marvel Legends figures (foreign Doctor Strange variant with gold poster, Man-Thing, Doctor Strange),
HeroClix boxes that feature Doctor Strange on the box (along the left side of the unit)
Diamond exclusive Marvel "Dark Side" figures (Dormammu, Man-Thing [Vermin behind him], Astral Dr. Strange)
Spider-Man; Spider-Wars Doctor Strange figure (regular and 2 different variants)
Super-Hero Squad sets (Secret Invasion, Doctor Strange & Ant-Man, Doc & Iron Man)
Mini-Mates box sets (Defenders, Marvel vs Capcom3: Dormammu / Trish, and "Strange Tales")
Marvel Universe Doctor Strange (classic & classic foreign variant, astral variant, "defenders" set with Silver Surfer)

As I said, there are more hang-tag items on the other side (and awesome goodies inside the main unit), but that's for another time.

At first, all these items were jammed onto the slatwall on this side (and some on the other end) of the white display unit, but I had no extra space for more, so a section of pegboard was required to make a little room. With the added pegboard, now all three surfaces have extra room for more swag.

Each section is for different types of items:
- pegboard is for ancillary items
- main slotwall is for figures of Doctor Strange / Man-Thing
- slotwall on other side is for other "6-Dimension" characters (Scarlet Witch, Black Knight and others - some are cool secrets awaiting their own posts).

So, take this post as a farewell to summer, and an invitation to come back for more goodness as Autumn approaches.

CARELESS WHISPERS : REDUX
The RESULTS of a Reader-Participation Post

Last month, I posted a contest, of sorts, asking for suggestions to just what it might have been that Doctor Strange whispered to Red She Hulk in order for her to transform back to her human self in DEFENDERS v4 # 2. That post can be found - [HERE] (My complete review of the issue can be found [HERE]).

As anyone who read the issue (or even just my post(s) on it) knows, Red She Hulk needed to be SCARED in order to revert back to her human persona (that of Betty Ross). But, as a 7 foot tall, invulnerable, super-strong powerhouse, one can only imagine that it isn't an easy task to find something with which to sufficiently scare her. Even harder; imagine what could be so terrifying to be able to frighten her by it merely being whispered into her ear.

However, as seen in that issue of Defenders, Doctor Strange did just that.
The catch being, that the readers were not made privy to what was said. Only that it scared the living heck out of her, and that she then referred to Strange as; "the Creep".

So, to that end, I posed the aforementioned hypothetical question / contest to see what you, my readers, thought Doctor Strange may have said.  My own entry can be found at the original post - [HERE]. Your entries are now revealed below:

---

Fanfix left a slew of entries; each as odd as the last. The best were:

"I’ve never been so hard.";

"...demonic, pants, fantastic, farewell!"
---
H went classic Star Wars-ian with...
 "Betty... I am your father."
---

DrFurball actually went to the effort of using the template I provided and produced an actual image.
 http://i.imgur.com/wX0A5.png
click to embiggen

---
H came up to bat again with a few new entries:

Starting with the appropriately meta;

"Your character is currently being written by Matt Fraction!"

And then continuing with the near-winner;

"I picture every woman I meet in Clea leggings. And Namor."

And the unnerving;
"Did I mention I'm an OB/GYN?"
---
Bill tossed his hat in the ring with a last minute entry;
"Rick Santorum is beating Obama."
---

And... the WINNER, with the absolutely MOST TERRIFYING thing that ANYONE could say to a fictional character is...

Oh. The HORROR!

This entry  (which I photoshopped into the entry presented above) was submitted by an "anonymous" commenter.

Such a shame, because the PRIZE for the Winning Entry was to be a truly awesome and valuable one - I was to appear at your home, or place of employment - in full Dr. Strange costume - and give to the winner a mint copy of Strange Tales # 110 - signed by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko (and the deed to the Brooklyn Bridge).

Oh well... better luck to everyone next time!

CARELESS WHISPERS
-or-
NEVER TALK TO STRANGE(RS)
A Reader-Interactive-Participation Post

 ---
*A Portion of Post Not Safe For Work*
(I'll note WHERE -in RED -below.)
---

- DEFENDERS # 2 –
By Matt Fraction and Terry & Rachel Dodson.

Whether you've read it or not, you may have heard of at least one scene from the issue, where Doctor Strange whispers something mysterious – and SCARY – into Red She-Hulk’s ear to thus trigger her transformation into her human persona; Betty Ross.

CLICK to "Red-She-Hulk-Size" any artwork.

Stephen Strange; Graduate of the Dale Carnegie School.

So now, I’m asking YOU FOLKS to grab the scan that I provide and put some words into the mouth of Stephen Strange. Either grab a quote from another comic, or think of your own and then, either post the image – sending me the link – or send me the art and I’ll post them all at a later date. Or, if you've no means to muck around with the image - just write it in as a comment below. Winner gets some kind of honor or prize. We’ll see.

To save full-size image:
CLICK to open image full-size,
then Right Click and 'Save As' to your computer.
Then, have fun!

I have my OWN theory as to what Strange may have said, and thus have made it into an interactive “game / contest” of sorts – in its own post (separate from the actual REVIEW of the issue [HERE]). I took a quote (an actual word balloon) from another comic and pasted in place.
I present it here and now for your amusement / dismay.

My entry uses an actual PUBLISHED word balloon from an actual PUBLISHED comic (albeit, one of the worst comics ever created): Jim Balent's T-n-A gorefest;
TAROT : WITCH of the BLACK ROSE - issue #53.

Possibly one of the most famous (or infamous) quotes from that issue (If not of the entire title’s published history) – and seen all over the interwebs:

“Samatha Brown! You have to get out of here! Your VAGINA Is HAUNTED!”

Obviously, this comment is all kinds of wrong, and would certainly be enough to freak out Red She-Hulk. The "haunted" aspect was just something that I'd imagine Strange being able to perceive.
(Not that Red-Shulkie's nether-regions are nether-dimensional in any way.) Heck, I didn’t even bother changing the name from Samantha Brown to Betty Ross, because I think keeping the other’s name makes it even creepier.

Here's the original panel from Tarot (if you don't believe me).
And, No. I don't own the actual comic. I got this scan from the inimitable ISB - [HERE]

The black nudie-censor bar is not in the comic.
It's not exactly Archie's Double Digest.

Originally, I wanted to use a line from an actual Doctor Strange comic, something that HE had stated, and use it out of context, but the Tarot quote just would not let go.

Oddly enough, the concept of a 'haunted vagina' isn't just limited to comics.
There is an actual NOVEL of the same name (and subject) by Carlton Mellick III (Amazon sales page HERE). So, maybe Dr. Strange WOULD have encountered this. That would be some house-call.

So, I leave it to you, surfers of the web, to create your own version of this scene, and either post the image – sending me the link – or send me the art (or, if you've no means to muck around with the image - just write it in as a comment below) and I’ll post them all at a later date (both HERE and in their own post).

If you have your own blog and want to use it as a post there, fine. Just send me a link to it so i can direct people your way. And I'd ask that you put the link to my post there, so as to keep it all nice and friendly-like.
Pass the word. I’d love to have a big array of entries to showcase.
Yes... They can be submitted anonymously. (I certainly wish MINE could be.)

MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY HOLIDAYS -2011-
A GIANT-SIZED TREASURY EDITION!

I just want to take this time to wish everyone all the Happiness of this
Holiday Season!

And to help celebrate your
VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS,
HAPPY HANUKKAH,
KOOL KWANZAA,
WILD WINTER SOLSTICE,
and A FESTIVUS FOR THE REST-OF-US...

...I present to you this scene of
MARVELOUS MIRTH and MERRIMENT...

(click to make FESTIVE-SIZED)

This YULTIDE TABLEAU featuring; Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, Luke "Power Man" Cage, Nick Fury and the Hulk, is my own re-staging of the CLASSIC cover to the 1975 MARVEL TREASURY EDITION; GIANT SUPERHERO HOLIDAY GRAB-BAG!

It was bigger than most kids, and only $1.50! (sigh)

I wasn't going to use any photoshop re-touches, but I didnt have a Santa-Suit small enough for Hulk.
I didn't even have a "classic" Hulk figure, but had to substitute my "Professor Hulk" as a stand in. Nor did I have any dolls, er... action figures of a young, tow-headed lad. If I did, that would be weird. So, I had to draft a holiday elf as a stand-in. Then, I figured, what-the-heck, and tossed in a little colorful glow for Doctor Strange's mystic zaps - which otherwise is just a red twisty-tie thingee from a bread bag.
With the exception of Hulk and Kilkeel Elf, these are all MARVEL LEGENDS Action Figures (which, aside from the old MEGO figures, are the very best Marvel action figures - ever).

I was originally going to make it an animated gif with glowing and blinking lights on the tree, like on my "Sanctum Window" graphic, but then one might wonder why no one else was moving... so I nixed it. Sorry.

However, to keep up with modern trends of VARIANT EDITIONS of cover images, I present to you this alternate take, with the MAN-THING in the place of the Christmas Tree.

(click to make Giant-Size Man-Thing sized)

Dr. Strange, Man-Thing, Spider-Man, Luke "Sweet Christmas" Cage, Nick Fury, Hulk and Irish 'Kilkeel' Elf
- all balanced by hidden props and wires...er...Christmas MAGIC!

Let's all sing a chorus of "O Man-Thing Tree"...
"O Manny-Thing, O Manny-Thing, Thy leaves are always burning..."
...EVERYBODY!

Peace on Earth, Good Will to Men-Things.

MAN-THING : "NIGHT of the LAUGHING DEAD"
HALLOWEEN - SPECIAL EDITION - 2011

---

Welcome to a
SPECIAL EDITION
of the
SANCTUM SANCTORUM COMIX BLOG!
- HALLOWEEN - 2011!

(previous entries can be found at links at the end of this post)

---
It is HALLOWEEN!
Time for creepy, crawly, and slime-encrusted things of all kinds...
and that includes MAN-THINGS!

As a treat for everyone, and in keeping with last year's audio entry (of a Doctor Strange Halloween audio play - link can be found at the end of this post) I am pleased to present the audio (and "video") of

Man-Thing – Night Of The Laughing Dead

Produced as a part of the "Book and Record Set" series by Power Records in 1974, this is an adaptation of a story begun in Man-Thing #5, May 1974,
written by Steve Gerber and with art by Mike Ploog and Frank Chiaramonte.

Produced by Herb Davidson and Charlotte Saunders, and narrated by Peter Fernandez, this is a tale of existentialism, despair, love and death.

Inner jacket with 45 RPM record in sleeve.

Back Cover

Created with voice actors reading the comic, panel by panel, the idea was to present a comic book as a fuller experience, but, unfortunately, one that while adding the depth of sounds and effects, also removed the imagination factor from the reader, allowing them to merely read along with the audio presentation.

These video presentations (with thanks to SecretCavern) have "animated" the comic book pages to be in synch with the audio.

So, turn down the light, turn up the volume and try not to be afraid.

---
Part 1

Part 2
---

Oddly, this is but the first half of the complete tale, as it continued in Man-Thing -vol. 1- # 6, but Power Records did not produce the subsequent issue as a record set.

A part of the Book and Record series by Power Records (and Peter Pan Records), this was but one of a "Monster Series" (which was a sub-category of Marvel book and record presentations).
Other releases included: Tomb of Dracula, Monster of Frankenstein, and Werewolf by Night.

Erin go Blog!
Happy St. Patrick's Day!

---
Just a quick note to say "Happy St. Patrick's Day" to you all.

Yes, I am reusing this image from last year.
Sorry, but I'm crazy-busy at the moment and recycling is the "green" thing to do.

A HAPPY St. PATRICK's Day to you all!

But keep in
mind...
"... WHATEVER KNOWS PUBLIC DRUNKENESS...
...BURNS at the TOUCH of the MAN-THING!"

As an added bonus, here's a scene of Doctor Strange bellying up to the bar and ordering a Theakston’s Old Peculier.
(from Girl Comics # 3)
