www.DoctorStrangeCast.com podcast is ONLINE

As promised, the Doctor Strange podcast that I have co-founded in now online:

PTOR, D and HOWARD:
your hosts of
Doctor StrangeCast

Diedra ("Deee"), Howard Hallis, and myself share various thoughts and experiences with, not only Doctor Strange, but comics and pop-culture in general,
(But mostly Doctor Strange)
with my being on the East Coast and Howard and Diedra on the West.

There are 5 mini episodes online now:

  1. - A "Mission Statement" of sorts.
  2. - My being "interviewed" and answering the guest "questionnaire".
  3. - Deidra answering the questionnaire
  4. - Howard's turn to do so.
  5. - Our predictions for the post-credits trailers for director Scott Derrickson's "Doctor Strange" film.

These are just the first few offerings, introductory teasers, if you will.
We've recorded others and shall record more still, and will upload them in time.

Now, Lest you walk into the gathering, unacquainted with your hosts, allow me to make the introductions:

Diedra ("Deee") is a noted Cosplayer and Dr. Strange fan. Her insights are valuable as not only a knowledgable and insightful Doctor Strange fan, but also can present us with a female perspective as well as a newer fan's viewpoint (although, she is wise in the ways of Strange far beyond her years).

Howard Hallis - owner of one of the World's Largest Doctor Strange collections, and Dr. Strange uber-fan, is the artist of the renowned "Picture of Everything" and is also a former associate of the late Dr. Timothy Leary.

PTOR - A renowned expert on Doctor Strange, having been a Dr. Strange uber-fan for nearly 40Years, I am also an owner of one of, and most likely THE World's Largest Doctor Strange Collections, as well as a writer/artist (having worked briefly in comics, as well as other media).

So come... join us.

We're Ptor, Howard and Dee...
and together we have a PHD in Doctor Strange.

Welcome to the Strangecast... [HERE]

High Quality garments - also available in ORGANIC materials - with durable printing that won't fade or crack after washing!

These are not some quick-print, low-quality "Cafepress" style shirts.
It took MANY, many months of researching various printers, print shoppes and silk screen companies, brick-and-mortor as well as online, before I committed to joining forces with one whose product quality, pricing and infrastructure proved themselves to be of merit.

I originally had the idea for the "NO MORE..." line when 'House of M" was released... in 2006 !
But there simply were no readily available companies that could do what I required at that time.
Over the years, I would seek out newer companies, but none satisfied my every need or criteria.

As I was making my research, and fairly sure that I had finally found a good company, I worked up my artwork in 2010 and I sent my designs and ordered some actual product for myself to test out in actual wearing and washing conditions before I would even think of agreeing to sell anything.
I won't just slap crap together to make a buck. My moral outlook overpowers any desire for profit.
(Which is why I am not rich.)

Ensured of a safe, secure, reliable store site, with fair prices and excellent shipping - I am ready to open my virtual doors to the world, assured that all product will be produced with only the best quality and delivered direct to YOU!

Also for YOU : GREAT PRICES!
From $19.99 tees -to- $35.99 hooded sweatshirts!
Something for everyone's budget, depending on your desires.

And, as readers of this blog may know, since as of late I have no time to be counted on to handle multitudes of orders myself, my new partners provide an AWESOME customer service team, available to assist you with any question. And RETURNS and/or EXCHANGES available with NO HASSLES!

I told you, I'm not a cash-grab kind of guy. I have always refused to put my name, time or energy behind anything that I don't believe in, and have, in my life, turned down lucrative deals because they were sleezy or just out to make a buck.

So, click on either of the two animated ads (or [HERE]) and check out my apparel for sale!

ORIGINAL COMIC ART FOR SALE!
- The FIRST Batch -
THOR, WOLVERINE, BATMAN - ROBIN
DAREDEVIL, SHE-HULK, SPAWN

---

As some readers of this blog may recall, I was, for a few years, a card-carrying, paid, professional comic-book writer and artist. This was primarily back around 1988 to 1992.

During that time, in addition to the actual comic books that I was hired to create (for some small indie publishers), I also would frequent many comic conventions (comic cons) in the U.S. (primarily New York City, Long Island NY, Boston, Chicago and Pittsburgh, among others).

While attending the conventions, I had my own table in the "Artist's Alley" and would take commissions for original artwork, and also sell hand-colored, framed art prints.

Although drawn in pencil, I may have been a little ahead of my time, in that I knew that if I drew the pieces tight enough, that they could be reproduced without the need for inking.

Now, after more than 20 years, due to financial circumstances, I am selling these original pieces - some of which were used to make the black and white prints that I would then hand-color for sale.

Up on eBay, I have just listed the first batch - 6 assorted pieces - and at the insanely low starting price of only 99cents!

These first 6 include:
THOR, SHE-HULK, DAREDEVIL, BATMAN & ROBIN, SPAWN, and... WOLVERINE.

The link for the eBay auctions can be found [HERE] or at the eBay button on the right sidebar.

* click on images to see them in greater detail *
(but the scans do NOT do the artwork any justice. Trust me. The originals are much nicer.)

THOR
1989

Graphite pencil over blue-line pencil drawing
14 x 17 vellum finish bristol board
full bleed image

Taking advantage of the fact that his own movie has just opened, I am making THOR the lead item in this sale.

In this image, THOR is wearing a full suit of mystical armor and sporting a full beard.
This was drawn to pay tribute to the time when his title was written and drawn by Walt Simonson, who introduced those elements to the character.
One of the most critically acclaimed runs in the character's history.

The THOR auction can be found [HERE]

---

SHE-HULK
1990

Graphite pencil over blue-line pencil drawing
14 x 17 vellum finish bristol board
10 X 13 image

Cousin of the HULK (she received a blood transfusion from him - which also transferred his powers to her), the SHE-HULK has been "Savage", "Sensational" but always "Sexy" and ready for fun!

SHE-HULK auction can be found [HERE]

---

DAREDEVIL
1989

Graphite pencil over blue-line pencil drawing
8.5 x 14 vellum finish bristol board
8.5 X 11 image

Perched atop an ornate brownstone rooftop in New York City, DAREDEVIL keeps watch to protect the citizens from any evil that would befall them.

The DAREDEVIL auction can be found [HERE]

---

Oh, and in case you don't think I show any love for the DC side of the street...

BATMAN and ROBIN
1991

Graphite pencil over blue-line pencil drawing
14 x 17 vellum finish bristol board
10 X 13 image

Swinging out over the rooftops of Gotham City, the Dynamic Duo are ever-ready to combat the criminal element.

The BAT-auction can be found [HERE]

---

And now, to highlight an "indie" property (if IMAGE can be seen as "independent")...

SPAWN
with ANGELA and VIOLATOR
1993

Graphite pencil over blue-line pencil drawing
9 x 12 vellum finish bristol board
8.5 X 11 image

Cursed by Hell and Abandoned by Heaven, SPAWN (aka Al Simmons) is forever trapped between both realms and must constantly battle the forces of both.

I conceived of the flip-image of the hour-glass to show that he is trapped and doomed by both sides of the veil.
Weep for him, for he shall never know peace.

You can bid on the SPAWN artwork [HERE]

---

And, of course, no "team" is complete without this next guy...

WOLVERINE
"STICK IT"
1991

Graphite pencil over blue-line pencil drawing
9 x 12 vellum finish bristol board
8.5 X 11 image

The ferocious mutant known as WOLVERINE is known for his rough and ready attitude - but his friends can also attest to a sense of humor as well.
Popping out a single (middle) claw (with a finger behind it), here he displays both!

Dig your claws into the Wolverine artwork [HERE]

---

These are merely the first of several batches.
I aim to list one batch per week (starting and ending on Sunday evenings).
However, I will be listing them, in advance, on my art blog - in case anyone feels that they want to inquire about prices or just want to make an offer, and thus avoid the whole eBay rigmarole.

Upcoming drawings are of:

- ANGEL
- BATMAN
- CAPTAIN AMERICA
- CONAN
- DR. DOOM
- FANTASTIC FOUR
- GHOST RIDERS (Johnny Blaze vs Dan Ketch)
- GREEN ARROW
- GREEN LANTERN CORPS
- HULK (grey) -vs- RHINO, JUGGERNAUT and ABOMINATION
- INHUMANS
- INVADERS (Captain America, Namor, Human Torch I, Toro, Bucky)
- IRON MAN (large image)
- IRON MAN (8.5 x 11 image)
- JOKER
- J.L.A (the Bwa-ha-ha roster)
- J.S.A
- MOON KNIGHT
- NAMOR; the SUB-MARINER
- NIGHTCRAWLER
- PUNISHER
- SILVER SURFER
- SPIDER-MAN
- SUPERMAN
- TEEN TITANS
- WOLVERINE (crossed claws)
- WOLVERINE vs BATMAN
- WOLVERINE vs FAUST
- X-MEN (Wolverine, Storm, Colossus, Havok, Rogue, Dazzler & Psylocke [in her original body and costume])

Like the assortment available this week, some are good, some are awesome!

Remember, the link for the eBay auctions can be found [HERE] or at the eBay button on the right sidebar.

Bizarre Bazaar
-or-
Yup... More Swag for Sale!

Yowza! Yowza!

Before we get cranking on the good features to be found in the coming week here on ye olde blog, it's time for another "commercial announcement".

Once again we here at the Sanctum have tossed some collectible goodies up on eBay.

*UPDATE NOTE:
While many items sold, others did not.
So, if you missed out on them this go-round, I'll be relisting them soon with some other cool stuff.
If you want to bypass the whole eBay thing entirely, drop me a line.
email addy :
sanctum(dot)blog(at)gmail(dot)com.
:END NOTE *

I'll post a list of the items below.

There are a very few "auction" format sales this time around, focusing instead on the store-type of "Buy-It-Now", so it's "First-come, First-served".

First, the linky to the sales is below:

My items on eBay

(which can also be found on the sidebar - a little under my photo)

By the way, I don't know what the heck kind of code they write for those things, but when it takes you to the ebay sales page, it scrambles all the listings out of order.
My crack team worked very hard to arrange the listings in a specific order (grouping similar items together) and then ebay just screws it all up.

So, if you are interested, make sure to scroll through all the listings...
*** OR BETTER YET, click the "TIME LEFT" option at the top of the listings. That will reorganize them by how much time is remaining in the sales, and put them in their proper order.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

We ship Worldwide and try to combine shipping costs whenever possible.

*Update Note: As items sell off, I 'll mark them accordingly*

MAGICAL TREASURES!

While it may sound like the sales-pitch of a cereal-selling Leprechaun; "MAGICAL TREASURES" are indeed up for sale!

*UPDATE NOTE:
While most items sold, others did not.
So, if you missed out on them the first go-round, I'll be relisting them soon.
If you want to bypass the whole eBay thing entirely, drop me a line.
email addy :
sanctum(dot)blog(at)gmail(dot)com.
:END NOTE *

Once again we here at the Sanctum have tossed some great collectible goodies up on eBay, some are from the outskirts of my own personal collection (items that I was going to add to my own "Sanctum Sanctorum"), but have decided that they would be better served in others' hands (and the cash, in mine).

We've passed on the "auction" format this time around, focusing instead on the store-type of "Buy-It-Now", so it's "First-come, First-served".
There are one or two auctions, but most are straight-up "Stuff for Sale!"

First, the linky to the sales is below:

My items on eBay

(which can also be found on the sidebar - a little under my photo)
We ship Worldwide and try to combine shipping costs whenever possible.

*Update Note: Items are ALREADY selling off! - I've marked them accordingly*

  • MOLE MAN (really rare) - sold
  • Marvel Legends FACE-OFF DAREDEVIL figure (really hard to find) - sold!

Also 12inch MARVEL ICON figure:
  • DR. DOOM - MiP

and more!

If these don't float your boat, don't worry...
since I can't seem to find worthwhile employment, I vow to have stuff up there every week or two!

However, since unemployment laws state that I could lose my benefits if I even lift a finger to perform anything even remotely resembling "work" (whether it pays or not) while I am searching for a job, I have been letting my wife take care of all the sales aspects to this endeavor.

With a 30+ year collection, there's bound to be something to suit everyone's tastes:
Posters, Out of Print Trade Paperbacks, Graphic novels, books, toys, action figures, t-shirts, promotional materials and swag, and more - oh, yeah... tons of comics too... she's devoted to becoming "Sanctum Sanctorum Comix" the super-seller store!

Oh, and look for original artwork soon as well.
I'll be showcasing some of those here soon (gotta scan a bunch today).

Thanks for any support!

...And now a word from DOOM!
Episode IV

.

Dr Doom once more takes a moment from his busy schedule of planning world domination to impart one word of his magnificent wisdom upon us all.

What shall he say today? *

"Prostitute!"

Sadly, DOOM reveals his inner shame at being reduced to a "BRAND" and shows but a SMALL sample of the merchandise that bears the name and visage of... DOOM!

Those are but a sample of the MANY Dr Doom related articles in my collection, and those two are up for sale on the ol' ebay account - as of this posting (but they'll be gone before too long).

Unfortunately, already having been sold off in month's past are a few other Dr. Doom related items. The most awesome of which was the full-sized Bowen Designs statue (Doom standing atop his castle turret).

(click to make LATVERIAN in size)

as seen in this old "sales pitch post" [HERE]

Yup... Doom IS a megalomaniac, and I guess as such, he expects to have his likeness on many household items...
Check out a previous "Word from DOOM" post to see some others:
A figural MUG as well as a fictional Latverian NOG.
That post [HERE]

But still, it must shame him slightly that such items are being made for mere money and not to further his glory.

Titans Three & more!
This week's Auctions!
An Idol Pursuits / 6-Dimensions of Dr. Strange entry.

While busily working, scanning in some (hopefully) truly cool items, for a big upcoming blog post, it came time for yet another batch of collector's items to leave my possession to go
UP FOR SALE on the eBay!.

So, allow me the opportunity to showcase a few items that WERE a part of my collection, but are now, available to YOU
(auctions ending Sunday, 08-23-09).

As with ALL of my posts, clicking pics make them larger for easier viewing.

First up... a trio of some items that I bought new in 1996 - 1997:

Marvel Comic Book Heroes
Pewter statuettes.

Limited edition, Pewter statues highlighting characters from the
GOLD, SILVER and BRONZE ages of comics.

---------

GOLDEN Age:
NAMOR the SUB-MARINER

In nifty windowed display box, complete with replica comic of a 1940's era issue.

(Certificate of Authenticity)

---
BRONZE Age:
The Incredible HULK

(Complete with Certificate of Authenticity)
and a crazy-low production number:
N - 046

---

SILVER* er...BRONZE Age:
The SILVER SURFER
* Seriously, how stupid was it for them NOT to have made
the SILVER Surfer as a SILVER Age item?
I mean, REALLY?

(The Surfer has been bequeathed to a very close friend who is a big Surfer fan and thus, is not available.)

---

The reason I even HAVE these three statuettes is that when they were released (1996 - 1997), the line was in it's infancy, and I was hoping that if there was enough support for the product, that eventually DOCTOR STRANGE would receive similar treatment.

Yet one in a long line of such pie-in-the-sky hopes wherein I put my money on the line for a dream.

Sadly, the line was eventually discontinued and these items vanished into the realm of rare collectible.

Still, these three ARE indeed founding members of the DEFENDERS.
Ostensibly, starting the line-up by first forming as the TITANS THREE in two issues of NAMOR's old mag (Sub-Mariner 35 & 36).
It was their earlier teaming, that led Namor to suggest these fellow heroes as allies when Dr. Strange first sought to form the team that would be known as the Defenders.

---

However, fret not, I put a Dr. Strange item up for auction as well. If for no other reason than to make the Defenders motif complete (in MY mind, anyway).

Marvel Legends DR STRANGE figure
mint in pack.

---

Let's see... what else did I have added to the auctions?
Ah... as I started digging out old Action Figures to go up for sale in the next few weeks, I came across the

X-MEN : Evolution
NIGHTCRAWLER
mint-on-card

Truthfully, there really is no true tie for why this was in my collection.
I DO have a few Nightcrawler figures, purchased over the years, but that is merely because he (and Cyclops) has always been my favorite X-Man.
There IS a small link between Nightcrawler and Doctor Strange, but mostly stemming from Uncanny X-Men Annual # 4, where the X-Men have Strange guide them into a replica of Dante's Inferno to rescue Kurt Wagner's soul from Margali Szardos.

However, this incarnation of Nightcrawler is from the fairly well done animated series; X-Men Evolution. All in all, not a bad series, really, and a hip, teen-age looking version of my favorite blue mutant.

That's about it for this week.
There are a LOT more items being prepped for next week.

---

OH, I guess I'll plug a few non-comic items that are up there as well:

Woodstock - Yasgur's Farm - A Day In The Garden
Frisbees!

These are items that my wife obtained when she was working as an organizer at one of the concerts being held 10 years ago, during the 30th Anniversary of Woodstock, being held on Max Yasgur's farm (the site of the Original Woodstock festival).
We were living fairly close by to the site at the time.

These were only available AT the 30th Anniversary concerts on the Yasgur's Farm site.
To that end, they are indeed a small piece of Woodstock history, of a sort.

There are a bunch of them up for sale (or Best Offer). They're not on auction. Just a straight up deal.

So, celebrate the 40th Anniversary with your very own (because I can guarantee you, we're not holding onto these for another ten years).

Yes... there IS a Dr. Strange link there too, but I'll get to the Woodstock / Strange stuff eventually.
(It's more a Haight Ashbury link anyway, but Woodstock does factor in as well.)

---------

Thanks for indulging my sales pitch here.

Those are the items up for auction this week.
Remember, the link for eBay sales is on the right side of the blog on the sidebar.
But what the heck...for your convenience
HERE is the link to these eBay auctions.

I'll have the next installment (featuring some interesting Dr Strange goodness) on the blog as soon as I can scan all the original artwork in.

Original Artwork? Hmmmmmmmm...... curious.

By the Hoary Hosts of the High-Speed Modem!

Hello once again, my friends.

This is just an update to let you know that while my helpers are working on getting my stuff up on the eBay, it's taking a bit longer than we had expected.

I used to blog (rather quickly, I might add, and mostly late at night) via the Macbook Pro laptop computer than I was given by my ex-employer.
It was a thing of beauty.

However, now that the machine has been lost to me (taken back by the job), I am left with a few very outdated tower machines (and a horrid Dell laptop that needs to be taken out into the field and given the "Office Space" copy machine treatment).

So, long story short... it's taking a little longer than expected to get things up and running.

However, I'd imagine that the first wave of items will be ready to go soon, and then it should be a constant stream of stuff.

I'm having them release to the masses some NON-Sanctum swag in the first few waves.
(y'know... just in case a miracle happens)

This is still primo stuff.
Lots of vintage swag, old out-of-print TPB's, hardcovers, games, toys, posters, statues, action figures, apparel, pinbacks and buttons, entire runs of comics (anything from SANDMAN, HELLBLAZER, STARMAN, MAGE, An unbroken run of X-MEN from # 95 all the way to the mid-late 1990's. And every other title known to geeks worldwide). Marvels, DC's, independents, oddities and rarities.
Silver age goodies. Bronze Age too. Modern titles and variants as well.

And it's not just comic stuff either.
I've got the original VERTIGO TAROT - in VG/NM condition, old TSR game modules and hardcover guides.

All stuff that I was supposed to have used as starter stock for a comic shoppe that we had wanted to open many years ago (hence the name; "Sanctum Sanctorum Comix").

THEN, when (and if I need to put) the Doctor Strange and my personal Sanctum Sanctorum Comix collection up for grabs... well... look out!

I have things in there that I had so fervently wished to share with the world via this blog.
Rarities, one-of-a-kinds, impossible-to-find stuff and some fairly common but still super-cool goodies - I get excited just thinking about it all.
I might be able to still blog about the stuff as it's going up for sale, but the orderly manner in which I was carefully crafting here (prior to all of this) may have to be sacrificed.

That's bothering me almost as much as the thought of having to unload it all.

As for me... I need to update my resume and continue looking for gainful employment.
If anyone out there knows of a place where a very creative, dedicated and detail oriented artist/ illustrator/ designer/ storyboard artist (and sometimes writer & voice-over guy) with extensive Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator (as well as other software and traditional hand-drawing) experience (as well as being web-savvy and a heck of a nice guy) can get a telecommuting gig (I'll be picking up the new laptop soon enough) - OR a good in-house position anywhere from Eastern PA to NYC... just send a note via the email addy on the sidebar.

Sadly, I have found it to be all too true:
It's sometimes not WHAT you know... but WHO you know.
And I know you people are some of the greatest I've "met" in years.

Thanks everyone.
Watch this space for more updates.

And EVENTUALLY, I'd like to get back to actual BLOGGING here.
(wouldn't THAT be nice?)

If ever I needed a hero... NOW would be the time.

Hello again, dear visitors to the Sanctum.

My most humble apologies for the long delay between posts, but, as you may have found by reading my most "recent" post [HERE], I have been downsized by my employer and there is a serious possibility that my wife and I (and our feline "children") could lose our house and potentially be homeless before long... unless I can get a good position (not too likely these days- especially since A) I'm primarily an illustrator - and those gigs are few and far between - and - B) I was telecommuting from my home studio/office for the past 3 and a half years) or can manage to sell off the (near)-entirety of my collection and other swag that we've got around here.

Since unemployment laws state that I could lose my benefits (which haven't even kicked in yet) if I even lift a finger to perform anything even remotely resembling "work" (whether it pays or not), I will have to let my wife (and possibly my brother) take care of all the sales aspects to this endeavor.

As for me, I need to search for actual work (most likely in a non-art-related field) and will be attempting to blog about the items that are going up on the eBay auction block.

Don't look for reviews of comics or any of my usual nifty history-lessons and such here for awhile.
It's been hard enough just trying to sleep without having Nightmare shocking me awake at 2am every night - in a cold sweat and paralyzed in the grip of fear - due to the reality of the situation.
I haven't read (nor can I really afford) any comics since the layoff happened.

It may be a few more days until anything goes up for auction.
This unemployment situation caught me completely flatfooted and we need some time to organize.

However, I will TRY to give blog-posts, giving details about the stuff that will be available.
And yes... there's a chance my Sanctum Sanctorum Comix collection - in it's entirety - may become a part of the sales parade.

Perhaps that is why I have it all --- so that my heroes may save us and our home from destruction.

All the best to you.

DOWN... but not OUT

Things may be a bit slow here at the SANCTUM for awhile.
As of April 30th, 2009, I have become the latest casualty in the "economic downturn" of America.

Having been "downsized" from my position as "the" Illustrator for a New York company, which I enjoyed for the past 6 years and 8 months, I will be spending a little time getting my particulars in order, and as such, will not be blogging as frequently as I once had.
At least not for a little while.

I have to contact the various agencies about unemployment compensation, credit counseling (or at least asking what our options are to be) and find out what I am to do about the mortgage (a modest one, since my wife and I were very realistic and reserved when we determined our price range for our home over 4 years ago - no McMansion here - unlike those who got in way over their heads and thus STARTED this whole economic shit-storm).

All heady stuff, which does not leave too much room for flights of fancy of fictional characters.
At least not any who are not of my own creation.

To make matters worse... the human resource bastards insisted that I return the laptop that they gave me a few years ago.
I REALLY grew attached to that thing.
I had hoped to have that as a part of my compensation (what little I was offered).

Sadly, even though it is now outdated a bit, it was a lot more powerful, faster and more up-to-date than my old tower computers.
I'm actually using it one last time to post this notice, because I TRIED to do so from one of my old towers, but the dinosaur was too s-l-o-w... so as soon as the UPS guy arrives to collect this from me, I'll be stuck with those ancient behemoths.
I'll have to address that situation as well.

Fret not, however.

I WILL RETURN, and will be posting stuff here before too long.
Just give me a few days to iron out the big wrinkles of my life.

Then, I'll be back.
Don't be surprised if you see Ads here though.

I don't want to do that, but might have to.

And... for anyone who might feel inclined, I'll toss a little pity tip jar on the sidebar for PayPal donations to the cause.
Consider it a "Good Karma Generator".

As for me, I also need to get back to some old personal creative projects that I had let go by the wayside for lo' the past decade or two while "workin' for 'the man' ".
Time to show the world MY creations.

Perhaps, one day, a fan will devote a blog to my work.
How cool would that be?

A World of Arcane Tortures!
(that you'll really enjoy!)

And Lo!
It shall come to pass that the Earth shall be engulfed in the heat of the Sun - until it become like unto a Living HELL!!!

I don't know where you are reading this from, but HERE, in the Northeast of the USA (NY & PA are where I share my time) it has been 90 degrees Fahrenheit for the past few days.
And it's been too hot to do much else but sit and watch my eyeballs melt.

In APRIL.

And it SNOWED a mere week or two beforehand (on my birthday, as it usually does).
So, don't try telling me that we aren't near some kind of mystical apocalypse.
I'm not buyin' it.

What I DO recommend buying (if you have yet to do so) is the new 3rd season - in DVD or Blu-Ray (or, for that matter, the first two seasons as well) of the VENTURE BROS animated series!
I received it for my birthday and have been diggin' the hell out of it!
(Of course, I HAVE to get Venture Bros stuff... due to my "6-Dimensions of Dr. Strange" fetish.)

You should get it too!
(product sales carousel presented for your shopping convenience)

The primary reason (well, aside from it being 1,000 kinds of awesome,) is that it has it's very own version of DOCTOR Stephen STRANGE; Master of the Mystic Arts, in the personage of DOCTOR Byron ORPHEUS; Master Necromancer. *

I could post pics and clips here all day, but I'll just toss up ONE (a montage of some the good Dr's earlier appearances) and a link to more of Orpheus' video goodness {HERE}.

Enjoy the clips, but if you DO wish to acquire any of the DVD's, CD's or swag, if you would make your purchase from my blog, I'd be most grateful.

*
In many interviews and commentary tracks, the creative team behind the show; Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer, have stated emphatically, that Dr. Orpheus IS their version of Dr. Strange.
And once you've watched and heard Orpheus in action, you can't help but imagine that voice and mannerism for Strange.
Try it. You won't be able to help yourself.

Who Wants to Win WATCHMEN Wares?

I am besides myself to think of some kind of link between WATCHMEN and the focus of my blog which would justify my posting this shameless bit of sales pitching.

However, I just tossed a few items up on eBay - all of them WATCHMEN related.

Because it sometimes takes several hours (6 - 12 hours!!) for some items to show up in the search, I'm going to link to the individual items.

The eBay ID (the_nook_shoppes) belongs to a seller "commune" I belong to; basically a group of affiliated sellers all under one banner. I used to have my own seller account, but I never have the time for packing and whatnot, so I give them the items for shipping.

Here are the items up for grabs:

Yeah... you'll notice I went to the school of ALL CAPS AND EXCLAMATION POINTS!

And, yes, BOTH Silk Spectre and the Comedian are "HOT"!
I'm open-minded.
:-)

My listings are as verbose as my blog-posts - but I make SURE to give every bit of useful information you might require.

So... feel free to take a gander.
All lots start at .99 cents - no reserve.

Bid Early, Bid Often.

Now, if only I could somehow link WATCHMEN to this blog, I'd feel much better about all this.

"Dead WRAITH in alley this morning, tire tread on burst stomach!"

Oh, BLESS you, ROM! Bless your silver soul!
