The Search for, Nature and History of...
the Sorcerer Supreme :
- PRELUDE
For the past few weeks, I've been meaning to post a dissertation on the Search, Nature and History of the Sorcerer Supreme.
Much to my dismay, real life continually kept getting in the way. It still is. *
However, presently on the racks is New Avengers # 51 ; the start of Brian Michael Bendis' "Who shall be the next Sorcerer Supreme?" story arc, and I have thoughts on the issue.
Thoughts that will lead directly into my long postponed series about the mantle, it's meaning and those who have held it.
However, it feels "wrong" to post a review and images from a comic that hit the stands today.
So, expect the review tomorrow, with the rest of my dissertation to follow in the days after.

(Just trying to type this with the chaos around me and the mental blocks I'm experiencing seems as if it would be similar to what it would be like trying to cast a spell while being beset by disorientation spells and bolts of bedevilment. It's like trying to think through a mystic metal mental clamp (for the brain instead of the mouth like in Doc's origin). I need some magic aspirin.)

as is an in-depth analysis of all the events that led up to the fall of Stephen Strange from the role of Sorcerer Supreme:

They're long and informative posts and I hope you find them to be good reading (and good reference).
